Jeanna Nelson - Transaction Coordinator, Realtor CDPE
Born and raised in Deer Park, Texas, my area of specialty includes Deer Park, Pasadena and La Porte, though I am familiar with neighborhoods throughout Greater Houston. My family resides in Deer Park, and I am active in the community there.
In terms of my professional background, I managed a large court reporting agency for over ten years, a responsibility that required not only great attention to detail but also an ability to multitask effectively in a deadline-oriented business. Don and I worked together throughout that time period, so our working relationship spans well over a decade, and we've discovered that we make a very effective team.
My family consists of Baron, my husband of 20 years; my son Matthew, a college student at University of North Texas in Denton; my daughter Melanie, a student at La Porte High School; and our two rescue dogs Xena (corgi/cattle dog mix) and Noel (lab/Australian Shepherd mix).
My hobbies include spending time outdoors, reading, baking, and spending time with my family. Additionally, I share Don, Cindy & Michael's commitment to animal rescue.
As a Realtor, I enjoy the process of learning what my client needs and helping him reach his goal. Education and training are important to me, as I want to constantly improve the knowledge and resources I bring to each client. Most recently I pursued the designation of Certified Distressed Property Expert from the Distressed Property Institute. The focus of that training was how to help distressed sellers avoid foreclosure. Similarly, a better understanding of short sales and foreclosures also helps me better represent buyers who are considering purchasing those types of properties. Additionally, I received the GREEN designation from the National Association of Realtors after completing training through the Houston Association of Realtors and RE/MAX International. This training provided me a wealth of information and resources related to energy-efficient and environmentally friendly construction practices.
