My background can be divided into three main areas. During my "first" life, I lived in Jakarta, Indonesia for several years after graduating from the University of Oklahoma in the early 1980s. I travelled extensively during these years and learned a lot about the world which I thoroughly enjoyed.

When I came back to the United States around 1990, I made my home in Houston and became a freelance court reporter. I call this my "second" life. During this time is when my path crossed with Don Puryear which was one of the best things that ever happened to me. We quickly became best friends, and I reported for Don's court reporting firm during most of my 13-year court reporting career.

My "third" life involves moving away from court reporting in the last couple of years and becoming a real estate agent. It seemed like a natural progression for Don and I to continue working together in the real estate business. We make a great team, and we're enjoying ourselves immensely. We have met so many nice people, and we've been able to help many of them with their real estate needs. It's very rewarding to help people in such an important area of their lives.

As a Realtor, one area of focus for me has been property rentals. We routinely work with investors and landlords who need help finding tenants. Similarly, we represent clients at every price level from one-bedroom rentals in the $600/mo range all the way to luxury high-rise rentals that are several thousand dollars a month.

In response to the growing number of foreclosures and "short sales," I have pursued specialized training from the Distressed Property Institute and have received the designation of Certified Distressed Property Expert. There is nothing more gratifying than helping a client avoid the financial and credit-consequences of foreclosure.

Another area of great importance to our entire team is our involvement with animal rescue. I have two rescued dogs of my own. Mikey is a Schnauzer mix, and Veronica is a chihuahua. They are wonderful little dogs, and they bring me a lot of joy.
